We offer a range of services to private companies, local authorities, government agencies and members of the public. Services range from specialist protected species and biodiversity assessments to presentations and workshops on wildlife survey and legislation.

Project work is primarily undertaken in Kent, Essex, London, Surrey and Sussex. Projects in other areas of England will also be considered.

Walkover Surveys

Rapid assessment of a site to identify wildlife issues that could impact on a planning application. 

 

Preliminary Ecological Appraisals

 

Detailed assessment of a site to identify wildlife issues likely to impact on a planning application. Preliminary Ecological Appraisal reports are often required by local planning authorities before a planning application will be considered. All work is undertaken to British Standards. 

 

Great Crested Newt Surveys

 

Presence and/or population assessment of ponds that could support this strictly protected amphibian species. All work follows most recent published guidelines and is undertaken under licence.

 

Dr. Brady is a registered consultant for the great crested newt low impact class licence. 

 

Reptile Surveys

 

Presence and/or population assessment of a site that could support protected reptile species (e.g. slow-worms). All work follows most recently published guidelines and is undertaken

under licence (when appropriate).
